Transmission Emergencies

Transmission emergencies can be time consuming, expensive, and frustrating. At Crown Transmissions, we start with a complete diagnostic test. We determine where the problem is – and what the problem is. Once we’ve isolated the issue, we determine whether transmission repair or transmission rebuild is necessary.

This is an especially important part of our process. A transmission repair can take anywhere from twenty-four to seventy-two hours. A transmission rebuild is far more difficult – and requires more attention. By bringing your vehicle to us as soon as a transmission emergency occurs, you are helping prevent damage that could require a transmission rebuild.

However, this isn’t always possible. When a transmission needs to be rebuilt, the following steps take place:

All parts are inspected, disassembled, and cleaned
Friction lined components are replaced
All seals, gaskets, bushings, and metal sealing rings are replaced
A new or rebuilt torque converter is placed
All electrical solenoids are cleaned, tested, and replaced as necessary

Though the entire transmission isn’t removed and replaced, a transmission rebuild is a lengthy process that requires many parts. At Crown Transmissions, we provide some of the best transmission rebuilds in the greater Atlanta area.

Mr Macy took great care of me after another shop told me I needed a new transmission. I had an amazing experience here and worked with the owner one on one to figure out my transmission issues. They were honest and transparent with their process of diagnosis and kept in close communication throughout the process along with asking for approval, and giving estimates along the way.Once the fixes were made I went and paid. I got into an amazing conversation with the owner about personal life experiences and he gave me great outlooks and advice; he also took me to my vehicle and showed me exactly what they did and even pointed out other concerns that had nothing to do with their line of business.Thank you Crown Transmission, so much for the great customer service and repairs on my vehicle. I Highly Recommended. Crown Transmission! The transmission on my 2006 Nissan Titan went out around 11:00 PM. I called Macy the next morning. He arranged pick up for my truck and was able to find me the best affordable option for my Vehicle. It was a stressful situation but Macy was great and really helped ease my mind. The service was turned around in a couple of days which was awesome too!

Mr. Macy is awesome!! I came in to get a second opinion after the dealership told me my car needed a new transmission which was over $5,000. Not to mention I just spent over $2,000 for other repairs they swore I needed. Only to misdiagnose my car. My dad told me to find a transmission shop that specializes only in transmissions. I am from the Marietta area so I when I came across Crown Transmission I was very impressed by the previous reviews. I called the shop and got the owner Mr. Macy himself. He was very kind and very knowledgeable when it comes to transmissions. He told me to bring my car in and he would do his best and all he could to help me. Well he definitely did that and more.
